AshtonRdRailrdCrossingImprovement.pdf Devils Backbone Dam - MD Dept of the Enviroment has determined that the dam to be in a state of disrepair. The County is performing safety monitoring inspections until which time a corrective action to the dam is completed. The project entails an evaluation of three options including repair, removal and partial breach. The corrective action will be determined based on cost effectiveness, environmental and historic factors, citizen feedback, and the construction measures necessary to implement the action. Harpers Ferry Stone Arch Bridge - Harpers Ferry Stone Arch Bridge closed to through traffic, at Antietam Creek, on Monday, June 14, 2010. Duration of this closure will be approximately 200 days so that the rehabilitation of the bridge may occur. A detour will be posted to route traffic around the project. Questions, please call Jim Plummer at 240-313-2448. Washington County Central Library, located at 100 S. Potomac Street, City of Hagerstown, MD 21740 – Anticipated to start construction in the Fall of 2010. Adjacent property Owners will be notified by mail of construction limits prior to construction activities. Smithsburg School Complex Signal and Access Improvements – Work is scheduled to begin mid June along North Main Street in Smithsburg, MD at the school entrances to signalize these entrances and perform roadway improvements. Completion is anticipated by mid August. Vehicular traffic may experience single lane closures while work is in progress, accompanied by traffic control devices including signs, cones, and flagging personnel to guide traffic through the work zone. |
